Sculpting Animals with Clay
Have fun exploring the animal kingdom while hand building your own clay sculptures. We will look at examples of different animals from around the world to help generate ideas to incorporate into several clay projects. Instructor assistance will include demonstration of various hand building techniques, surface treatment, tool usage and glaze application. Students will gain knowledge, experience and an understanding of the ceramic process and technical and application skills through simple conceptual drawing, hands-on fabrication and experimental clay exercises.
This class is designed to encourage individual expression, style, and ideas to produce unique individual clay works. All student’s clay work will be displayed in the final session and will then be taken home with them. Parents are encouraged to attend last class exhibit.
