Sculpting the World’s Fascinating Sea Life in Clay
Have fun exploring the undersea world as we learn to visually capture numerous marine life forms in clay. Students will look at examples of different sea creatures from around the world to inspire thought, creativity and generate a variety of ideas to incorporate into several clay projects. They will gain knowledge and experience learning sculptural hand-building techniques, clay tool usage, glaze application, surface design and the kiln firing process.
This class is designed to encourage personal expression, style, and ideas to produce unique individual clay works.
Students will exhibit their creations in the last class, and parents are encouraged to attend the event. Students will then take their creations home with them.10 Sessions; Grades 1-5
