Creating Playful & Decorative Ceramic Cups
Have fun exploring and making several styles of cups. With porcelain clay, tools, and project ideas, students will learn fundamental hand-building techniques of coil, slab, pinching, and hanvd forming to create their functional sculptural vessels.
Students will gain knowledge and understanding of the ceramic process and develop technical and application skills through a series of excercises that require hands on fabrication. Instructor assistance will include brief demonstration of tool usage, various decorative techniques and glaze application.
The class is designed to encourage personal expression, style, and ideas for students to produce unique individual clay works.Work will be exhibited in the last class. Parents are encouraged to attend. Students will take their creations home with them.
